The theme for the diocese stewardship effort this year is "Given." The focus is on what Christ has given us, which is the Eucharist. He gave everything for us! Isn't the least we can do is to give back to him whatever we can? The diocese definition of stewardship is: "Stewardship is the grateful response of a Christian disciple who recognizes & receives God's gifts & shares these gifts in love of God & neighbor." So what can we give back to Christ? Our gifts. We all have them, but sometimes we need help identifying them or knowing what to do with them. This year we are giving every parishioner the opportunity to use the "Gifted to Serve" tool to help with seeing what gifts they have & how they can be used at Sacred Heart. This is totally voluntary & you do not have to share the results if you don't want to.
